“A peaceful, friendly haven” - W sneyd, West Midlands

We stayed at the Little Lodge Bed & Breakfast in June and enjoyed every moment. It is a tranquil haven in the peaceful village of Maroni, just a couple of miles from the coast near Zygi, famous for its fish restaurants. Elsa and Clive are exceptional hosts , who welcomed us into their home. Their thoughtfulness, coupled with local knowledge of places of interest, good eating tavernas and restaurants added immensly to our holiday. Breakfast on the shaded terrace, with idyllic views across the valley, was a real joy to start each day. We will make a bee-line to the Little Lodge on our next visit to Cyprus.

“Absolutely The Perfect Place To Stay" - JDWLondon, London

We found this place on various websites and decided to stay there for the last 2 nights of our stay in Southern Cyprus, before moving over to explore the North of the Island. Elsa and Clive are the perfect hosts - always there if you need advice or company and always discreetly tucked away if you fancy some solitude. The house is just the most beautifully restored old property (not easy to find in Cyprus for some reason) and the area around the pool is picture perfect with cool shade, various seating areas and a small but perfectly formed swimming pool. Clive spends all his spare time sweeping the leaves from around the gardens (or so he tells us) whilst Elsa makes the most perfect breakfast at exactly the time you want it each morning. Nothing is too much trouble for this couple - you can tell they really enjoy the company of their various (and varied) guests. We tried to book the double but had to 'make do' with the twin and as Elsa said at the time we booked we were NOT disappointed with our room. We will most certainly go back - next time with 2 friend so we can take over the place! During our 16 days in Cyprus we toured extensively and can say this was the best place we stayed. Our only complaint is that (with hindsight) we should have stayed longer - and will do so next time. If only Elsa and Clive provided dinner we would not have left the house at all! I cannot recommend this highly enough which is praise indeed from someone who is extremely choosy and picky about her holiday destinations!

“Tranquility” - Mango46, London

The little luxury lodge, is just that, luxury. The rooms are just lovely, and decorated down to a fine art by Elsa with her unique sense of style. The owners Elsa and Clive are wonderful down to earth people, who are great to sit down and swap a few stories with. The Lodge is easy to find by car and is perfect distance to the beach and surrounding towns. The beaches in Maroni, especially the pebble beaches were some of the best we found on our trip. The lodge is situated on Maroni hill and has a pool with a great view, so if you just feel like lounging around the pool in peace and in a tranquil environment, this is definitely the place you have been looking for! I wish I was there right now!

“Luxury at Little Lodge” - vivhun, East Sussex

We recently had the great fortune to spend four nights at Little Lodge. My husband had a business meeting in Nicosia and I decided to come along to recharge my batteries. And what a brilliant decision! From the moment we crossed the threshold of Little Lodge late on a dark and starlit evening, Elsa and Clive took care of our every need. The al fresco breakfasts were the best (could anyone consume more than we did every morning?) and we still dream of Elsa's historic carrot cake (take note, her chicken soup is delicious too!). We miss sipping wine around the swimming pool as the sun goes down, the tranquility of the stunning setting, the beautifully landscaped gardens with lots of shady spots and suntraps......and those great conversations about books (I will get a book club started back here Elsa, I promise!). The two rooms are beautifully furnished, kept spotlessly clean and stay cool on hot days. Maroni is a charming little village, with plenty of restaurants within a short driving distance. We can't recommend Little Lodge highly enough - and we will definitely be going back for more. Our warmest thanks to Elsa and Clive for giving us such a special time.

“A Hidden Little Treasure” - sam003, Manchester

Husband and I recently stayed at the Little Lodge, We loved everything about it. Elsa and Clive are a lovely couple and make you feel at home straight away. Our room was lovely and the bed sooo comfy!! The lodge is in a small village and if you want to experience the true Cyprus we would recommend that you stay here. It is so peaceful with a stunning garden overlooking the valley. Elsa certainly will go out of her way to make the stay relaxing. We loved the Lodge and would like to thank Elsa and Clive on for wonderful holiday. P.s. You will need a car to get around but the roads are empty so its nice to drive around the villages. P.s. Yes the carrot cake is gorgeous

“THE place to stay in Cyprus” - Nancy, Hampshire

For a group of four it is the perfect place to stay away from the ever growing developments on the coast. Elsa, your hostess, spares every attention to detail to make your stay a true delight. Our only criticism would be the Coptic wind that chilled the late spring weather on this beautiful island. Fabulous breakfasts, beautiful alfresco living area, very comfortable bed, and very charming hosts, Clive and Elsa added to our great holiday

“It doesn't get any better than this” - Travel Warrior, South West France

Little Lodge is one of the few places to stay where you can still experience the true Cyprus yet be close to everything, from the peace of the mountains, to Nicosia city life, to the beaches and water sports. I won't repeat the descriptions other reviewers have given here except to confirm that all the praise for the location, accommodation, service and wonderful friendliness of the owners, Elsa and Clive, are 100% accurate. Little Lodge provides a truly exceptional experience. Stay there and you won't ever want to stay in a resort hotel with the bucket and spade brigade again.

“So relaxing and peaceful” - Nettie, Sussex

Little Lodge - we had the most relaxing, lazy week we have ever spent on holiday. Elsa and Clive are perfect hosts, most welcoming, you are part of the family immediately and very interesting people. You just don't want to leave, so one day we did not, we just sat and read by the pool. Perfect.

“Peace perfect peace” - Lindsey Hamilton, London

We loved the Little Lodge, from the welcome with Elsa's delicious carrot cake, the delightful bedroom with its privacy and shady terrace, to the gorgeous lush and intimate garden and pool. In November, the sun shone, the pool was chilly and refreshing, and breakfast outside, looking across to pale blue distant hills, was all one could possibly want. Elsa was attentive, friendly and informative - but never intruded. We had access to our own little kitchen where we could make ourselves an evening drink....This feels like a 'home from home' and we'd definitely return. And Elsa - we think of you whenever I make 'Elsa's carrot cake'!

“Honeymoon at Little Lodge”  - Gloria, U.K

Our stay at the Little Lodge was extremely delightful. The location was wonderful, and the accommodation absolutely PERFECT, with a beautiful garden and pool to enjoy each day. Elsa was certainly the “Hostess with the Mostess” in the way she looked after us. We knew it was somewhere special when we arrived to find rose petals on our bed, and sugared almonds in a bowl beside the bed with lovely fresh roses. We had a guest kitchen to use, and Elsa even made us a carrot cake !! It was our honeymoon, but what made it more than perfect was Elsa and her husband and their hospitality. We want to go again.

“So inspiring” - Christie, Macroom, Ireland

Family run accommodation is very hit and miss, but not this one. Often there is too much contact with people you don't want to see. We could happily have spent numerous evenings with this charming couple. The whole place was divine, so beautifully decorated and created. We took so many photos to remember the ideas Elsa had executed so beautifully. We will now have our own TV outside, albeit in our new garden house as well as splashing out on a large canary palm in our own garden in Ireland. We think of Maroni every day when we look out of the window. The website pictures are very honest, though could be updated as it is even more fabulous.

“The most pleasant place in the world” - Mario Isra, Israel

I have been with my 25 years old son (I'm 62) for five nights in the Little Lodge in the little town of Maroni, Cyprus. We wanted to know the isle, make some diving, fishing, visiting archeological sites, and know the local crafts. We arrived by Air to Larnaca, rented a car and arrived to the lodge in Maroni. The place can't be better. It is a peaceful place, everything is perfect, the English breakfast great, the little swimming pool was exactly what we needed to relax at the end of the day, but the most important factor to feel really well, was the attention we received form the owners that treated us with the warmness I didn't receive anywhere else. I highly recommend this place for a couple, doesn't matter their age or as us a father and his son.
